5th Announcement
Dear FOSBE 2024 keynote and invited speakers, awardees, presenters and participants:
attached please find the technical program of the conference as it has been prepared based on all contributions and information you have provided upon registration. Please note that this message is sent to the registered participants of the conference and have contacted the conference secretariat. If there are any members of your group who are still considering a registration, please inform them that we kindly ask that they register by Friday August 16/8 and contact Mrs. Angeliki Kosmatou at fosbe2024@iceht.forth.gr about the form of payment, which could follow.
It is of great significance for us as organizers though to have the names and contact info of all participants (+ accompanying persons) by the end of this week.
With respect to the technical program, we would like to kindly request the following:
1. Please check the info, date and time of your presentation. We have assigned a presenter to each presentation according to the info we have been provided upon your registration. Please consider your travel plans and inform us if any assignment that you have been given may be in conflict with them, so we need to reconsider the date and time of the presentation. Please check as you may have been assigned as session chair or panelist/panel moderator position too. If you are presenting a poster in which you are not a co-author but you are member of the group, please send us this info too.
PLEASE check this information and send us any comments/presenter changes BY FRIDAY 16/8 AT THE END OF THE DAY. If we do not hear from you we consider that there is agreement with the program on your side and this will be finalized on Monday August 20.
2. Keynote lectures are scheduled for 45 min + 10 min Q/As; Invited lectures are scheduled for 25 min talks + 5 min Q/As; all other oral presentations are sceduled for 15 min talks + 5 min Q/As.
3. Poster size should be up to 0.8mW X 1m H (Portrait format) based on the size of the poster stands. All posters will be mounted from the beginnig of the conference until the end of the day on Tuesday September
10 – stands will be removed from the conference space on Wednesday Sep 11. The conference includes TWO POSTER SESSIONS during which the respective posters will be further discussed – the main presenters are expected to stand in front of their poster.
In addition to the poster presentations, the main poster presenters are to prepare 1 slide for 1.5 min pitch of their poster. The pitching sessions will precede the poster sessions on Monday evening and Tuesday noon, as you see in the program. All poster presentation slides should be given to the poster session chairs by Sunday Sep 8 evening.
